I needed to send 250$ in bitcoin, and upon sending it there wasnt enough in my account to cover it, the app immediately went into topoff mode to purchase more bitcoin and I never gave it permission to, anyways it was an old account without any money in it, so it could t just do it anyways but because there was no money it locked my account, I own solana and i didnt realize what had happened so I transferred enough solana to cover the amount of bitcoin I didnt have and thats when I noticed what had happened and it was to late, I did some other things that brought the amount of bitcoin I had down because of fees it cost me before I realized what had happened, so if everytime a person trys to send bitcoin and they are light and dont know it, Coinbase will automatically just go into your bank account for you and take out the money you need and buy bitcoin for you I guess, Id like to think a person should have a say in it if they want to purchase more bitcoin or transfer other holdings like I had intended to do but never got a chance, that was all the money I had or have at the time and it really screwed me up bad.

I created a new account on Coinbase a few weeks ago hoping to start trading crypto easily. The signup process looked simple at first, but right after I completed the basic registration and tried to verify my identity (KYC), it showed the message: "Your account is under review.

This process can take up to 3 days. We will notify you via email when the check is complete."

That was [mention exact days/weeks/months ago, e.g., "more than 2 weeks ago" or "over a month ago"]. I have submitted all the required documents government ID, selfie, address proof multiple times. I even checked my spam folder and re-uploaded clearer photos, but still no update from Coinbase.

Now my account is completely stuck.

I cannot deposit money, buy any crypto, or even link my bank account properly. All features are locked, and there is zero communication from their support team. I submitted a support ticket through the app, but I have received no reply or timeline.

This is extremely frustrating because I just wanted to create an account and start small. Instead, my money and time are wasted while Coinbase holds everything in "review" with no explanation.

Many other users are facing the same issue, and it feels like they are not handling new accounts properly.
